I am adding a comment here to describe how I am reacting to an emotional "shock" and pain I experienced just a few moments ago. People are in pain at times just by being a human being. When pain turns to suffering from Clinical Depression it is not the fault of anyone. When the suffering ends in suicide it is again not the fault of anyone. I am a compassionate person and what I need to improve is to be more compassionate for myself. Simply stated, it is often better to speak to someone when you yourself are feeling the pain for someone else. ADB,MD

This is my GIFT to you and anyone reading this.. These suggestions have made me the person I am today. So take one or two or all of them and transform yourself to a super being. Thank me later. I personally did and do everything listed below and I got massive results. 1. Write out a statement of your Short Term Goal AND your Chief Aim/Main Goal... on a "goal card" or paper. 2. Write it out 50 times a day for 30 days preferably around the same time each day. After the 30 days, you go back and write it out ONCE a day. This is your compass in life. 3. Set your phone alarm to go off every 3 hours (to disrupt your daily routine) and when it goes off write down your statement and then close your eyes and see yourself with your goal for 2 mins. 4. Record your statement in your voice on a voice recorder on your phone, and play it back to yourself on loop while you sleep and as often as you can daily, example... in the shower or when you are using the rest room. 5. Find an accountability partner. If you cannot find someone, then you MUST write out your statement DAILY. By doing this you make yourself accountable to YOURSELF. 6. Find a community or FB group/group chat, etc and from that community form a Mastermind with one or two people who have studied from REAL Mentors and are giving VALUE. There is a "Law of Giving" and many people are using it. Andrew Carnegie told Napoleon Hill this back in the early 1900s. Its a LAW and it works. Its what I am doing with this post. 7. Auto-Suggest (Think and Grow Rich Chapter 4) to yourself in front of the mirror in the bathroom at least twice a day. Look directly INTO your eyes OR one eye and recite your WRITTEN statement. Then splash cold water on your face. This sudden shock seals the thought into the subconscious due to emotional and physical shock from the cold water. 8. Write out ten "I AM" statements a day. example. I AM happy, I AM more confident. Use the word MORE; implying you already have it, but want more. You trick the brain. 9. Write out 5 things you HAVE that you are grateful for and 5 things that you are grateful for that are coming to you. Mix up the list one after the other. 10. When in public tell people you see that you love them in your mind. Simply say "I LOVE YOU" to them as you pass them, especially when driving, because their subconscious hears and FEELS the intention. Say it to about 10 to 15 people daily. This increases your Good Karma. It might seem like a lot. But it took me less than two weeks to incorporate the list into my life and 32 days later I started getting massive results. What have you got to lose, try some or ALL and see your results. Let me know know too. Have a great day... and thanks for reading.

My wife usually prepares a lunch for me. But today, at our home, I decided what I was going to eat and did most of the preparation. However, when it came to buttering my bread, I suddenly had the feeling of helplessness and the paralyzing pain of not being able to completely butter the bread. So i decided that I would butter the bread a little bit, not entirely, at a time. By the way, the pain was quickly gone by this time. I decided for once to tell my wife about this episode of helplessness and she, for once, told me that she had a similar feeling this morning....I felt a sense of relief that my wife also has feelings of helplessness from time to time. Don't worry about me; I feel fine now. ADB,MD

yeahh, just so you know you're not alone. So I'm a student who's lately always distracted, so very absent minded and overwhelmed with constant internal thoughts. I'm always confused and in conflicts with my own decisions. And it's really affecting my studies for the worst. I hope this meditation works out positively.

It seems now first of all that judging thoughts as true or false turns out to be a fools message. The mind just automatically runs where it will, it is as others have said a monkey's mind. These wild thoughts very often do not represent truth. And as the man says, do not represent who you really are! So this meditation turns out to be wonderfully useful thanks to DTM. I will certainly return to using it when needed. Have a great day.

This meditation has helped me so much within the first session. I loved how we were guided to focus solely on breathing but then allowed to free think for a short frame , just to get pulled back to focusing on breathing. I’ll be doing this daily to improve my focus. Thank you !

Today, this morning, this meditation was very challenging to me, in the sense that my tense muscles in my lower jaw, back of neck and top and back of both shoulders was causing a lot of discomfort and pain. I met the challenge by telling myself that I was strong and did not give up the struggle. If I listen to what you say, and wish for all the affirmations you speak of in your gentle way, it would be more than amazing at my age. But it really doesn't matter. I've lived a long life, I have a son and a daughter, both healthy, independant and many of the good qualities one would hope for. And a wife with me now for over 60+ years and a grand-daughter going next month for her 8th birthday. And not to forget, your meditations and daily presence which means so much to me and I believe to others.

Here is an observation that some of you may find interesting. People who have experienced anxieties in childhood, but at that time were not aware of their anxiety, can experience that sounds become excessively loud. As a child, when I became sick, I sometimes experienced any sounds that were scarily loud. Now I know, that it is my excessive thinking about being sick, "getting lost in thoughts" that is the cause of my anxiety! It is our thinking minds that cause too much worry, insecurities, fears and anxieties. We need the help of meditations to observe overtime the workings of our own minds to come to terms with it and "let go" of it. We all need to sleep! We all need to bring R and R, rest and relaxation, into our lives! My father used to say that life is just a habit. If only it was that simple! ADB,MD

This mornings meditation for anxiety, actually exposure to some disturbing information on a DVD seen last night that reminded me of a childhood trauma and was one of the reasons for a poor nights sleep is clearly the reason for this disturbance. The reason for this disturbance of quality sleep can be avoided by calming the mind in the evening hours before going to sleep. It would be a good habit to develop for a healthy and disciplined mind!

I should add to the previous comment that many of these meditations with repetition will allow us to become more resistant to worry, fear, and anxiety so that we can let go of these discomforts and not hold on and let our thinking expand into a story in our minds but turn your mind to be just an impartial observer. That is the key to allow the magic of the mind give you the relief that all of us deserve.

I am so grateful for this guided meditation session. Your calmness and timing is great. I have been doing this for the last couple months and my focus increased a bit for sure. I do this mostly in the early morning when I work from home or in the evening when I have to do some work from home also.
